EMBRACING OUR UNIQUENESS
Abrazando nuestra singularidad
In keeping with the Phoenix’ on-going effort to represent the growing Latino culture in Indianapolis, one production each season is presented in English and Spanish.
The Phoenix Theatre has produced plays by, and about, our Latino and Hispanic communities since 1985.
In 2006, we took our commitment to the next level by deciding to produce one play in Spanish and English each season. Performances are by the same cast, but in Spanish and English on alternating nights. Each year we partner with more than 30 Latino and Hispanic agencies to reach into the Spanish-speaking communities to draw patrons in.
