The Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre supports a group of local performing arts companies as they grow professionally through our Collective.
Eclipse
Eclipse offers challenging musical theater productions providing central Indiana with edgy and emerging work and artists. Eclipse is an outgrowth of Summer Stock Stage’s main stage program which focuses on high school performers ages 13-19. Eclipse will feature performers who are alumni of Summer Stock Stage in college and older.
Actors Ink
Actor's Ink, founded by Sandra Gay, has evolved into a vibrant theater production company that embraces a diverse community of performers. Established in 1981 in Indianapolis, it originally began as a community-based contemporary theater group. However, a rebranding in 2020 shifted its focus to POCAs—individuals over 65—with a shared passion for the arts. Despite any physical challenges, the company fosters an inclusive environment where members learn, rehearse, and perform collaboratively.
American Lives Theatre
American Lives Theatre is an Indianapolis based theatre company devoted to new work and neglected classics that explores the lives of all Americans through live performance with provocative and relevant stage plays. We use American drama to tell stories that resound with Indy residents about what it means to be an American, a Hoosier, and a human.
Naptown African American Theatre Collective
Naptown African American Theatre Collective stands at the intersection of Black culture and American Theatre, providing a space where artists can authentically depict the African American Diaspora. The Naptown African American Theatre Collective offers an inclusive environment for storytelling, creating impactful stage experiences that resonate with the community and its history.

Summit Performance Indianapolis is a professional, nonprofit, women-focused theatre company producing top-quality work in Central Indiana.
